The scenic beauty here is off the charts. Two mountain ranges (Swan and Mission) rise dramatically to the east. Flathead Lake with its long, meandering shoreline provides a breathtaking view to the south. The lake is one of the largest and finest in the country for boating, water skiing, parasailing, fishing and other water sports. Kayakers of all kinds come here to compete in the annual Whitewater Festival held on the “wild mile” of the Swan River. Golfers drive from near and far to play at Eagle Bend, a 27-hole championship course nestled on the north shores of Flathead Lake.
If that isn’t enough, Glacier National Park is a short and splendid drive north (less than one hour). Also nearby are the Jewel Basin Hiking Area and the legendary Bob Marshall Wilderness. If you’re an outdoor enthusiast new to the area, you may be overwhelmed at first (try not to hyperventilate). Take your time and take a camera wherever you go.
Bigfork is also home to many delightful galleries, shops and restaurants. The Bigfork Summer Playhouse is well known for the attractions staged there every year. There are also arts festivals, summer evening concerts and festive holiday happenings that are big draws in Bigfork. If you like cherries you’re in for a treat. Some of the nation’s finest cherries are grown along the east shores of Flathead Lake. In short, Bigfork is a small town with huge amenities and lots of good property. And we have an office right in the heart of it.
